Superfest Set of 2 Schnapps Shot Glasses Liquor Germany DDR GDR Soviet Communist For Sale

Superfest is the legendary East German glassware developed in the 1970s and produced by VEB Sachsenglas Schwepnitz through the 1980's. Made from chemically strengthened glass, Superfest was designed for exceptional durability and resistance to breakage, making it especially popular in restaurants, bars, and public institutions throughout the former GDR. Production ended after German reunification, and surviving examples are now increasingly sought after by collectors for their distinctive minimalist design, Cold War history, and remarkable strength, being between 5x and 15x stronger than untreated glass.

This purchase includes two glasses similar to those shown. These are the smallest size of Superfest glass, the Schnapps or shot glass. My assessment is that all of these I have are "A" grade. The only imperfections I see on any of them is tiny scratches from normal use, and some have more or less fading of the red color in the lettering or just a touch of the lettering worn away. I would recommend careful hand washing to preserve the painted letters. There are also a few scratches and scuffs from normal wear but nothing large, and definitely no cracks or chips.
