An incredible find in Pierre Frey French country textiles.
A superb French homespun plaid linen in a truly authentic old world French country look & feel.
Exceptional quality denser bodied but floppy & more fluid. It literally reminds me every bit of much earlier French homespun plaid. Those from the 18th & 19th century.
The indigo tone was a bit hard to capture. Slightly brighter, again very similar to the older French indigo tones from the 18th & 19th century. So not quite as somber & chambray like as photos seem to capture. Think of those richer ever so slightly brighter earlier French indigos. The second photo seems closest but still richer in person.
This was as close as I could get on this outstanding linen.
Completely enamored with this fine Frey linen textile. Truly an amazing find.
Gorgeous in any interiors project & creative bespoke pieces where you want an authentic French country feel.
It easily flows with much earlier French textiles as well.
Unused old studio stock in truly lovely condition.
***Measures~ 57” wide

I sell antique and vintage fabric. Each textile is different; some possibly used, some unused. I will give you my best assessment. I do not always launder them nor do I know all their history, how they have been stored over time etc.. I have a 30+ year long & extensive knowledge of textiles and gauge age ranges; fiber content etc.. to the best of my ability. As always please view all photos, dimensions etc.. as they are part of the description. Please keep in mind that I provide the best photos possible but monitors do vary. If my eyes should miss a small flaw, please know it is not intentional. I am always available and happy to answer any inquiries so always please ask if I have not addressed something that may be important to you.I
do combine shipping whenever possible. If you are an international
buyer or purchasing multiple pieces, please wait for my personal invoice
as 's auto. combined invoices are rarely accurate. You can do this
by either messaging me or using the drop down button that says "request
total from seller" after your purchase but prior to paypal checkout.
Again, if you have any questions, please message me.
