This piece is a genuine product of the world-renowned Nambu Ironworks (Nambu Tekki) from Japan, dating back to the 1990s.Why this piece is special:Master Craftsmanship: Originating from the Iwate Prefecture, Nambu Tekki is synonymous with Japanese excellence in metalwork. This miniature features the iconic \"Arare\" (hailstone) pattern, meticulously cast to reflect centuries of tradition. The Calligrapher’s Essential: In East Asian calligraphy, the Suiteki is a vital tool used to dispense precise drops of water onto an inkstone (Suzuri). This allows the artist to control the exact consistency and shade of the ink being ground.Functional Art: Beyond its utility, it serves as a stunning art sculpture. The heavy, textured cast iron provides a tactile experience and a sense of \"Wabi-sabi\" (the beauty of imperfection and age) that only authentic Japanese ironware can offer.Vintage Collectible: As a 1990s vintage item, this water dropper carries a unique patina and historical charm, making it a sought-after piece for scholars, calligraphers, and collectors of Asian antiques.Key Details:Material: Authentic Nambu Cast Iron (Nambu Tekki)Origin: Japan (Vintage 1990s)Design: Miniature Tetsubin-style with Arare textureCondition: Excellent vintage condition with original lidThis Suiteki is more than just a tool; it is a small piece of Japanese history that brings a touch of zen and sophistication to any desk or collection.Length (Length including spout): approx. 7.8 cm / 3.07 inDiameter (Body): approx. 6 cm / 2.36 inHeight (With handle): approx. 6.5 cm / 2.56 inWeight: approx. 140g / 4.9 oz
