Hand carved from native Jacaranda wood by Akamba tribesmen in Mombasa, Kenya. These detailed bowls are sanded and hand painted naturally colored dyes. Each vintage piece is unique to the carver, and full of personality.
This piece has 7 different kinds of carved animals, a giraffe, lion, zebra, elephant, hippopotamus and wild boar. It is quite a stunning piece of usable art, and definitely a conversation starter.
It is in great condition and measures approximately: 16\" long x 8 1/4\" wide x 7\" base to top of giraffe and 5 1/4 from base to the other animals.
