Note: The documented #5137 examples generally show a small white floral element applied at the base of the green stem/leaf decoration. That white flower is not present on this example. The green stem and leaf appear to be intact, with the stem terminating in a smooth rounded finish.
I am therefor describing the piece exactly as found and leaving it to the buyer/collector to determine whether this represents a variation or an absent applied floral element. The absence of the white flower is reflected in the photographs and should be considered when evaluating this piece.
This Steuben Orange Cintra Marmalade Jar with original Steuben label is in overall very lovely vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The original Cintra mottled decoration displays the expected color variations and occasional tiny manufacturing inclusions characteristic of hand-crafted Steuben art glass.
Light surface wear is present consistent with careful age and use. Areas of grayish/silvery mottling visible in the glass appear to be part of the original handcrafted decoration and manufacturing process (see detailed photos). Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
