Charming handcrafted German nutcracker by Steinbach featuring the classic occupation theme of a vintage photographer. This piece comes from Steinbach’s popular Chubby Series and displays the rounded character style collectors love. The figure wears a green beret, knit scarf, and holds a detailed wooden accordion camera. The camera accessory is removable and includes a sliding wooden “film” section at the end of the bellows. Arms are movable so the camera can be positioned naturally in the figure’s hands. The traditional lever on the back operates the mouth as designed.
Handmade in Germany in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) region, this nutcracker bears the carved Steinbach Volkskunst Germany stamp along with the Steinbach Proveni handmade authenticity label on the base. The scarf accessory remains intact and the painted finish is vibrant with no notable wear observed. A wonderful addition for collectors of German nutcrackers, Steinbach pieces, or vintage Christmas décor.
