Singer 301A Sewing Machine Black Short-Bed. This is a beautiful black 301A, short-bed, slant shank, gear driven, straight stitch sewing machine. The serial number is NA223947 which tells us it was created approximately in 1951 in Anderson, SC.This machine is called the Featherweights big sister because it weighs 16lbs compared to the Featherweights 12 lbs. This machine is very portable and great to use for quilting classes.This machine is a powerful gear driven machine and has a slant shank to give the sewer a better view of the needle...making it much easier to thread. See the great features of this machine in my photos.This machine comes with the original carrying case, a zipper foot, extra bobbins, needles, oil and grease for maintenance and a copy of the manual. The machine has been fully serviced and is in great condition and sews a beautiful stitch. There is normal wear and scratches on the machine and some staining on the case.I have a table for this machine if you are interested. Please let me know and I will list it.
