• Event program from January 27, 2007 celebrating this landmark occasion for the city of Torrance, boldly signed by Zamperini in his impeccable style. Zamperini, a qualifier for the 1936 Berlin Olympics as a long distance runner, was depicted in the movie Unbroken for his harrowing ordeal as a Japanese P.O.W., and his subsequent forgiveness of his captors.

Also included are some newspaper clippings documenting the 2007 event, and mailed/emailed correspondence detailing the day’s itinerary (all of which add to this item’s airtight provenance).

This item includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services.. please see photos for COA details.

• The program and signature are in excellent condition. The newspaper clippings (from the Daily Breeze and Los Angeles Times) are folded and have some age discoloration. The physical mail from the Old Torrance Neighborhood Association has been stapled to the forwarded email from the Torrance Historical Society. The program will be shipped in a rigid photo sleeve and securely boxed.
