Sideshow Weta Easterling Soldier, 1/6 scale statue from The Two Towers movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hand cast in heavy-weight polystone and hand-painted. Produced by Sideshow with Weta Workshop, sculpted by Gary Hunt. Height is 11" to the top of the helm (photo 16); the spear slides into the right hand from the bottom so it can be adjusted up and down.
Very low edition number: #22 of only 2000, produced in 2003 and never reissued. Opened and fully inspected: the statue and art box are photographed from every side.No chips and no paint wear are present on the Easterling Soldier. There is a repaired "scale" on the left shoulder (circled in photo 4, close-up shown in photo 5). Comes with the original art box and Styrofoam inserts (photo 15). The box shows wear as expected for a 23 year old collectible: minor creasing and edge scuffs, worst at the front lower right corner (photo 10).
No separate certificate was issued for this collectible; the art box and edition number stamped on the underside of the base are the proof of authenticity (photos 8 and 9). Smoke-free home, displayed in a closed glass cabinet.
