Shari Lutz Original Handmade Woodland Santa Claus – Signed 1999 – OOAK Folk Art

Beautiful, elaborately detailed woodland Santa Claus, handcrafted by American folk-art artist Shari Lutz, signed and dated 1999 on the base.

Standing approximately 23 inches tall, this distinctive Santa has a wonderfully expressive, realistic sculpted face with blue eyes, a long flowing curly white beard and hair, and a festive holly crown.

Dressed in rich burgundy and navy fabrics with generous brown faux-fur trim, Santa carries a miniature snow-dusted evergreen tree and a rustic lantern suspended from a wooden staff.

His collection of woodland treasures includes a charming miniature teddy bear with a bow tie, a tiny nutcracker soldier, a gray toy animal, a rustic wooden sled, and additional bundled accessories. The assortment of textures, carefully assembled miniature objects and hand-applied snowy accents creates a charming old-world Christmas appearance.
