AndyLee was born in 1974 in Hong Kong and immigrated to the US, where he's lived and worked in Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Honolulu. While in high-school and college Andy learned the specifics of Zen brush painting. The meditative style consists of a p'o mo stage, "breaking clouds" where a splash is created and any image can be drawn from that splash. Lee's style demands a kind of mental awareness dependent on one's ability to refocus to the immediate moment, using paintings as his gauge. Andy has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Marvel, DC Comics, LeBron James, THQ, Wizard, and Nike. Some of his credits include illustrations in Dragonball Z, Inuyasha Magazine, DC Comics Versus Trading Cards (Bronze Tiger, Sensei), Kindred of the East's Vampire the Masquerade, Ultimate Marvel Team-Ups (Spider Man vs the Master of Kung Fu), and more.
