ABOUT THIS SANTA
Most of the painting time goes into his costume. Yellow and gold fan rosettes with red centers and painted white dots cover the blue coat. Fine gold stripes run down the trousers, and the red mittens carry small gold flowers. The sack is crimson with a gold lattice, black flower sprigs and white dots. All of that takes the artist days. The bear\'s jaws are open with every tooth carved, and the paws have detailed pads. Its fur is built up with fine strokes of white and tan. Together the pair stretches 9.5 inches along a mantel or a sideboard. It is a natural fit for polar bear Christmas decor or a blue and gold winter display. It also makes a fine gift for a polar bear lover. A calm Santa on a roaring polar bear.
