Exquisite, authentic hand-coiled Native American pottery bowl crafted by the award-winning Tewa artist Sammy Naranjo (Okuwa Nae’ Khung Tsire / Dark Cloud Bird) of the Santa Clara Pueblo Bear Clan. This outstanding piece features incredibly fine-line sgraffito (etched) iconography including the iconic Avanyu (Water Serpent) winding around the vessel, alongside a traditional deeply etched Bear Paw symbol representing strength and protection. Sammy Naranjo (born 1972) is an award-winning, full-blooded Tewa Indian artist from the Santa Clara Pueblo Bear Clan. He is highly celebrated for his exceptional two-tone sgraffito (etched) and carved blackware pottery. He often collaborates with his wife, Adrianna Naranjo, as well as Melony Gutiérrez.
