MAGNIFICENT Woven Tapestry Pattern- truly \'Clothing Art\'! This type of blouse was beloved and worn constantly by the famous artist Frida Kahlo
Made of 2 panels, a left panel and right panel, sewn together. Panels are hand decorated with hand sewed brocade featuring bird and geometric motifs typical of Nebaj weavings. Colors across the top are meant to symbolize the four cardinal directions.
The weavers [traditional Guatemalan ladies] include symbols and designs that can be read by other Indigenous women to identify their social standing, religious background, personalities, place of birth, etc.
Excellent condition- spotlessly clean, no rips, holes, staining, fading, pulls, odors, or damage.
