Garnet var. Grossular (thumbnail)

Mana Mine, Khyber Province, Pakistan.

Ex Austin Cockell, Jordan Root, And Cristian H. Gazmuri Collections

This is a choice, lustrous example of green garnet from Pakistan. This particular mine only produced a limited selection of nice pieces with the majority being orange spessartine/hessonite/grossular. Green coloration is rare for this locale. This particular piece exhibits defined form, great color, and superb luster. In addition, there are several smaller crystals dusting select faces of the main crystal. No obvious damage to my eye.
