SHATLEY SPRINGS NC Advertising Ephemera 3 pc Lot 1920’s Promotional Brochure PC For Sale

This is as interesting historical ephemera lot of 3 pieces from Shatley Springs, Crumpler, NC in Ashe County. One piece is a 11 x 8 1/2 two sided promotional flyer “How Shatley Springs was Discovered” on one side and details of the offerings of the private health resort on the other including Radioactive Baths, Cottages, private dining, mineral composition of the springs and “white only” disclosure, dated 1925. Has one fold down center. The second piece is a brochure for Shatley Springs Distributing Co., 9” x 3 3/4” folded, 9” x 14 open that has the same “how discovered” info plus numerous interesting testimonials of people endorsing the health benefits of the mineral water that was being distributed by druggists of the time also from late 1920’s based on testimonial dates. Third piece is an unused color photo post card of the health resort probably from the 1950’s based on the automobiles in the photo. Overall condition of all three items is very good vintage. No stains or tears just folds as noted. An interesting historical ephemera lot for a very well known and controversial facility in NC history. Great addition to any collection.
