It shows a wide, high-angle general view of the Royal Smithfield Show at Earls Court, London, in 1972. The ground floor of the large exhibition hall is dominated by livestock pens, with a prominent sign for \'CATTLE\'.

Breeds such as \'GALLOWAY\' and \'LINCOLN RED\' are visible on signs above the pens. The upper gallery level features numerous trade stands for farm machinery and agricultural products, with banners for companies including Ford, Massey Ferguson, David Brown, International, Lister, New Holland, and Bamford.
