The Rough Rider Congress design . . . the knife with a famous heritage, i.e.,President Lincoln was carrying a 6-blade Congress with white pearl handles(very much like this one) when he was assassinated (see pic), and was known toperpetually carry a pocketknife. Probably no wonder he carried thisparticular model, often considered a knife for store clerks and officeprofessionals, with its smaller - more utilitarian blades, especially theCoping Blade which does not appear on many models. Like its Sheepsfootcousin, of which there are two on this Congress, these blades are very usefulfor cutting out paper, and gaskets.

Grooved, squared nickel silver bolsters.Older, round badge with the \"RR\" horseshoe.

Never used, never sharpened, never carried, gently cleaned.

BLEMISH: Handles don\'t match very well and there is a tiny flake-looking place at the front center pin; it cannot be felt with a fingernail. See detailed pics.

These handles are not fully saturated with green dye, only lightly dyed tobring out the lines and grain in the bone. If you want a saturated dye,please pass on this one.

Blades are tight, yet open easily,then line up almost perfectly in their groove; there issome minor blade rub but that\'s common in a Congress. The blades do nothave half-stops. They are sharp right out of the box with factory edges.
