An exceptionally rare Rosenthal Studio Linie table lighter from the golden era of Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design.
The lighter features a striking spherical form consisting of a glossy black porcelain base and a transparent glass dome, creating a futuristic appearance characteristic of the late 1960s–1970s. Inside sits a beautifully engineered brass lighter mechanism that remains fully functional.
Rosenthal’s Studio Linie collection is highly regarded among collectors for collaborating with leading modern designers and producing sculptural functional objects. This lighter perfectly combines minimalist German design with the futuristic aesthetics of the Space Age period.
The heavy glass cover protects the mechanism while giving the lighter the appearance of a museum display object.
