Rosenthal Form 2000 Raymond Loewy Coffee Set Pot Creamer Sugar Teal MCM Germany For Sale

Rosenthal Form 2000 Raymond Loewy Coffee Set Pot Creamer Sugar Teal MCM Germany

Description:

A three-piece Rosenthal “Form 2000” coffee set: coffee pot, creamer and lidded sugar bowl.

Form 2000 was designed by Raymond Loewy and Richard Latham and introduced in 1954. It became one of the defining shapes of post-war modernist tableware and was produced in many different decorations. This set has the solid colour-band treatment: a turquoise/teal body with a crisp white lid, spout, handle and foot.

Marked “Rosenthal Germany” in green on the base. This earlier mark suggests production around the late 1950s to 1960s.

The set includes:

• Coffee pot with lid: 21 cm high, 21 cm spout to handle, 585 g
• Creamer / milk jug: 8 cm high, 11.5 cm handle to spout, 109 g
• Lidded sugar bowl: 9 cm diameter, 8 cm high, 185 g
• Total weight: 879 g
