Rare Vintage Original by Robert Jeweled Vanity Chair Powder Compact
Beautiful and unusual vintage figural powder compact designed in the form of a miniature ornate chair.
The gold-tone metal chair features elaborate embossed detailing, curved arms and legs, and a decorative floral back accented with sparkling clear rhinestones and faux pearl details. The seat incorporates the vanity compact and opens to reveal the original powder area/puff. The interior retains the attractive “Fabulous Boutique Originals by Robert” label, and the chair itself is marked “Original by Robert.”
The Original by Robert/Fashioncraft company operated in New York during the mid-20th century and is well known among collectors for elaborate costume jewelry and vanity accessories.
Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related wear. There is visible wear to the gold-tone finish, darkening/patina and areas of oxidation consistent with age.
