This is an extremely hard to find Gallery of Light box. The "Light of Peace" painting by the late Thomas Kinkade, has been created into a three-dimensional, resin vignette by renowned miniature artist, Robert Olszewski, in 2008 for Enesco. At that time, Enesco produced pieces for distribution through high-end retailers. Olszewski no longer creates for Enesco. Although an Open Edition, reportedly only 150 of these collectible Painter of Light boxes were released for purchase. The lustrous gold frame has a leaf on the lower right that is the light switch for the LED light. The light should not burn out, unless left on 24 hours, 7 days a week for 3-1/2 years.
"Light of Peace" is a stunning artwork, depicting a light house gloriously illuminating the sky after a treacherous storm.This vignette is resplendent in pastel hues, and is imbued with an innate tranquility that resonates in the heart. When referring to the particular painting that inspired Olszewski's 3-D creation, Thomas Kinkade once recalled, "Storms must end. God's glorious light streams through the clouds in brilliant beams. That moment, when peace returns to the land, sea, and sky is a wonderful affirmation. It is the inspiration for The Light of Peace...These heavenly lights literally take my breath away."
Excellent, preowned condition with minimal cosmetic wear. The box measures 3-7/3" tall x 4-3/8" wide x 3-5/8" deep. It can be displayed on a shelf or hung on a wall by its affixed hanger. Requires 3 AAA batteries, not included, for it to light.
