An incredible, intimate vintage portrait of pioneer natural history photographer and author Richard Kearton, F.Z.S., captured in a classic pose with his smoking pipe.

Together with his brother Cherry Kearton, Richard revolutionised natural history study at the turn of the 20th century, publishing the world's first book illustrated entirely from wild nature photographs.

• The Frame: Housed in an authentic period hand-carved green painted wooden frame with scalloped border detailing and inner gold-trimmed mount.
