This is arestoredantique and hard to findParker Duette inGold Filled Brocade patternfrom the early 1920s - a true collector's piece. The pen is in near mint condition, ready to write and with an excellent nib. Please see the photos and read the full description.
The pen has beenfullyserviced. It was disassembled, the nib and feed were ultrasonically cleanedand a new sac was fitted. After assembling, the pen was inspected, tested and the nib was adjusted. It writes nicely, with good flow and should be ready to write for many years.
Nib:Gold 14 K flexible #2 Lucky Curvenib. It writes a smooth extra-fine line and it is capable of good line variation (please, see the writing sample in the last photo; the squares are 5mm X 5mm).
Size: 4 1/4 in (~ 10.8 cm).
Filling system:button filler with a new sac. It fills very well.
Body and Cap:You will be hard pressed to find one of these pens in better condition. There areNOcracks, NO gouges, NO dents, NO deep scratches and NO brassing that I can see. The only blemish I could find is a ~ 0.4mm X 0.2 mm mark on the edge of the cap top, where it meets the the main body of the cap (it is visible in the first photo, up from the clip, if you look look very carefully). There are micro-scratches and light scratches compatible with use and the age.
