This battery is a replica of a vintage Burgess Z46 / Eveready 646 battery, no longer available and which was exclusively used in the vintage Safari Lite lantern made by Burgess. This replica battery container requires 8 standard 9 volt batteries, supplied by the user. The Safari Lite requires two of my replica Z46 containers.
My Z46 equivalent uses standard alkaline 9 volt batteries, or the new USB C rechargeable types made by several vendors. Although more expensive, I recommend the rechargeable types because the Safari Lite consumes a lot of power.
The Safari Lite is very popular with collectors of vintage lanterns, and can easily be found on and other markets.
