Authentic vintage Remington Pattern 1913 (P1913) bayonet, dated 10-17 (October 1917) and displaying the unusual transitional U.S. markings.

* Original British proof/inspection markings have been deliberately struck out/obliterated — The struck-out markings are intentional historical cancellation marks, not something that has been done recently. The remaining markings should be examined closely in the supplied photographs.

* Original Remington, date and pattern markings remain clearly visible

* Wood grip panels are present

* Blade is full length and has not been broken

IMPORTANT CONDITION DISCLOSURE:

The muzzle/mounting ring on the crossguard is bent/spread open, as clearly shown in the photographs. The ring is not missing, but it has been bent out of its original circular shape. No attempt has been made by us to straighten, bend, weld, repair, polish, refinish, or otherwise restore it.

This is an approximately century-old military collectible and shows substantial age-related wear, patina, oxidation, finish loss, scratches, discoloration, marks and other evidence of previous use/storage. It is being sold in its present, as-found condition.
