Lidded regimental Beer stein from1st Royal Bavarian Heavy Cavalry Regiment (“Schwere-Reiter-Regiment Prinz Karl von Bayern” Nr. 1), an elite heavy cavalry unit of the Royal Bavarian Army. Originally established in 1814 as the Garde du Corps to the King of Bavaria and renamed over time, it became the 1st Heavy Cavalry Regiment (“Schwere-Reiter-Regiment”) named after Prince Karl of Bavaria.
