Designed in the form of a miniature cocktail shaker, this substantial Art Deco table lighter features a tall tapered body with a polished chrome finish. The upper cover removes to reveal the exposed Éclair semi-automatic petrol lighter mechanism.
The mechanism is marked “ÉCLAIR / BREVETÉ S.G.D.G. / MADE IN FRANCE / MODÈLE DÉPOSÉ.” The Éclair mechanism is associated with French inventor and manufacturer Janvier Quercia and dates to the late 1920s/early 1930s.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with scratches, surface marks, light finish wear, tarnish and patina consistent with age and previous use. More noticeable scratching is present on the upper horizontal surface surrounding the lighter mechanism.
The semi-automatic mechanism has been tested and is currently operating properly.
