Rare Oceania Napped Glass. Arrowhead Large For Sale

the arrowhead in the photo is very large measuring. 4 in height 2 in wide
I was selling glass in quartzsite Arizona when I by chance met the national champion in the United States for napping he was selling in quartzsite with the opal dealers from Australia
I was selling large pieces of oceana from Santa Cruz California some of them were up to 10 in across and he decided to nap a piece or try to the next day he returned with a large Arrowhead (see photograph) he had made the day before and wanted to trade it for some more glass of course I said yes and he came back several times and told me that that's never going to happen again and he went through all the glass trying to find a piece to nap that large it didn't happen so I have the only one done again by the national napping champion of the United States. I believe the year was 1999

oceana glass in Santa Cruz was famous For its Tiffany style molted glass
this is old formula oceana never made again since they left Santa Cruz
the company is now owned by yakimani glass it's the same looking glass but it's not the same way it was made in Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz it was made by hand one piece at a time
this is what we would call slag end of the day tailings furnace ratings it cooled overnight and we broke it out of a barrel the next morning
this one of a kind Arrowhead is a real benefit and special for anybody who collects napping again I don't know the fellow's name but if you looked up who it is he'll remember doing it he was very frustrated not being able to get another Arrowhead of any size like that
