For sale is an exceptionally rare, matching pair of vintage 1992 Byers' Choice holiday figurines from the special "The Skaters" collection.
This set features a boy and girl in coordinating deep hunter green felt winter coats and plaid accents, beautifully posed mid-stride on single legs. Unlike typical green-base carolers, these are mounted on white circular bases designed to look like ice, complete with realistic miniature metal ice skate blades underneath.
These are highly restricted Limited Edition pieces, hand-numbered out of a production run of only 100:- Skating Boy: Hand-signed "Byers 92" and numbered 97/100 on the upper base. Retains the original brass "The Skaters © 1992" under-seal.- Skating Girl: Hand-signed "Byers 92" and numbered 52/100 on the upper base. Retains the matching brass under-seal.
Condition:Both figurines are in excellent, clean vintage condition. The plaster faces are flawless with no chips. The clothing, faux fur muffs, and knit caps are crisp with no staining or fading. The metal skate blades are securely mounted. The original gold foil labels remain intact on the green felt undersides. From a smoke-free estate.
Shipping:Will be packed with extreme care. The dynamic skating poses make these fragile, so each figure will be padded independently in heavy bubble wrap to prevent shifting or stress on the ankles during transit. Shipped fully insured.
