Rare British Fairbairn-Sykes 7th Revision Commando Knife – WWII Dagger (Damascus Steel)

This rare reproduction of the British Fairbairn-Sykes 7th Revision Commando Knife is a tribute to one of the most iconic military daggers of the Second World War. Hand-forged from 512-layer Damascus steel, this double-edged full-tang dagger embodies both craftsmanship and history.

Historical Background

The Fairbairn-Sykes (F-S) fighting knife was originally designed in 1941 by William E. Fairbairn and Eric A. Sykes, both veterans of the Shanghai Municipal Police. It quickly became the standard weapon for British Commandos, Special Operations Executive (SOE), and later adopted by Allied units during WWII. Known for its slim, double-edged stiletto blade, the F-S dagger was specifically designed for close-quarters combat, excelling in stealth and precision strikes.

The 7th Revision was one of the later wartime variations, refining the grip and blade profile for improved handling in combat conditions. Its reputation spread across the Allied forces, with versions issued to U.S. Rangers, Airborne units, and the legendary First Special Service Force (FSSF), also known as the “Devil’s Brigade.”
