Rare Austrian Model 1854 Lorenz Musket Socket Bayonet + Scabbard & Frog TR1701 For Sale

Antique Austrian Model 1854 Musket Socket Bayonet measuring 21.25" OAL, with a quadrangular blade length of 18.25". Very good condition showing much original finish with smooth scattered age patina wear. The collar is still on the socket with it's screw that is in excellent condition. The collar slides smoothly and stops at the correct 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock stops. The left elbow is stamped with a "37". This comes with the original Wood scabbard that is wrapped in leather showing a finial end with the steel throat. Leather shows some scattered surface loss with the unique frog stud that measures 2.75". The leather at the throat by the stud, shows a "T" with another letter next to it, also below the stud there is a "6" stamped on it.This piece also comes with a later period upgraded Austrian Military security frog equipped with a straight belt loop, the bottom portion has a wrap around with a snap button. This was slipped onto the scabbard later in its service life and underneath the frog stud to firmly lock onto and prevent it from slipping.
