Rare 1954 Australian foreign edition of the Ghost Rider #9 = Phantom Rider #5! Released by Atlas Publications in 1954, this issue features a great Dick Ayers cover originally released in the U.S. in 1951 by Magazine Enterprises and was sometimes listed as A1 Comics (1944 Life\'s Romances) #67. Western horror with the original Ghost Rider, a marshal who uses special effects to make outlaws think he\'s an otherworldly avenger. A monstrous vulture is attacking villagers, but turns out to be a man in a vulture costume, much like the later Spider-Man villain! Settlers ill-advisedly move into Hate Town, heedless of the curse that turned it into a ghost town. A hanged outlaw returns from the dead to continue robbing stagecoaches.
