A rare vintage ephemera piece: an original Christmas and New Year greetings card for the “Staff College Drag Hunt, 1930–31” (Camberley, Surrey), featuring a printed sepia photograph of huntsmen, horses, and a full pack of hounds outside the Staff College building. Hung with the original navy cord for wall display. Includes an attached small tear-off calendar leaf for January 1931, still present and legible.
This ties into the well-documented “Snaffles” (Charlie Johnson Payne) Staff College Drag Hunt imagery, popular with collectors of British military, equestrian, and foxhunting history. A genuine piece of early 20th-century British Army social history from the Royal Military Staff College, Camberley.
