Rare 1690 France King Louis XIV Taille Property Tax Document Receipt Versailles For Sale

I am offering for sale a rare original handwritten 1690 receipt relating to the payment of the Taille Property Tax during the reign of King Louis XIV (1643-1715). The Taille was a direct land tax on the French peasantry and non-nobles prior to the French Revolution. The document is displayed in an antique frame. It is in excellent with age appropriate wear and patina. The frame measures 9 1/2 inches x 6 5/8 inches. The document measures 7 1/4 inches x 4 7/8 inches.
