ROK US Combined Forces Command Korean Military Wall Hanging Medallion Tassel For Sale

Interesting Korean military-themed decorative wall hanging featuring a large bronze-tone circular medallion marked “ROK/US COMBINED FORCES COMMAND” around the central emblem.

The medallion has an intricate raised design with figures, geometric borders and traditional-style decorative elements. It is suspended from an elaborate red and gold knotted cord ornament, with long red hanging tassels below. The combination of the medallion and elaborate knotwork makes this a particularly distinctive piece of ROK/U.S. military memorabilia.

Approximate measurements:
• Medallion: approximately 7inches in diameter
• Overall length: approximately 39inches from the top hanging loop to the bottom of the tassels

Please use the photographs as part of the description. I have included close-up photographs of the medallion, central emblem, decorative knotwork, tassels and measurements.

Condition: Pre-owned with age/storage/use-related dust and surface wear. The medallion has some areas of patina/finish variation consistent with age and use. The red and gold cord and tassel assembly remains intact but has some dust/dirt remaining within the intricate knotted areas and tassels. I gently vacuumed the piece, but did not aggressively clean the cord because of the delicate knotwork and the possibility of damaging it.

There are also areas of minor wear and variation to the finish of the medallion. Please examine all photographs carefully for the best representation of condition.

A very unusual piece for a collector of ROK/US military memorabilia, Korean militaria, Combined Forces Command items, military wall décor, or Korean decorative arts.
