Made of Aluminum.This canteen was professionally restored in Russia by master craftsmen. It comes with the carrier featured in the photographs, which us a reproduction but made from 100% authentic materials and techniques. The rubber stopper is also original. Perfect for collectors and reenactors. The aluminum Obr. 1928 1L canteen was used across the red army from the late 1920s through WWII, but most often with field medics and used by NKVD Border guards in tropical regions of the USSR, such as Crimea and Turkmenistan.
