RARE1944 WWII Homefront Thermometer Calendar Neitring's Coal Dock Grand Haven MI For Sale

Up for sale is a remarkably preserved, highly collectible vintage advertising calendar thermometer from World War II.This piece was distributed as a promotional item by Neitring's City Coal Dock, which was a prominent local business located on Fulton Avenue and Harbor Island (City Island) in Grand Haven, Michigan.THE RAREST DETAIL:Unlike most vintage thermometers from this era where the paper elements have disintegrated or been torn away, this piece retains its original 1944 paper calendar pad, showing the month of January 1944. This is an authentic wartime artifact—NOT a modern reproduction pad.Item Features & Graphics:

• Patriotic Imagery: Features a striking dual-panel design with a bold illustration of the American Flag on the left and the U.S. Capitol Building on the right, perfectly reflecting the homefront patriotism of 1944.
• Local Advertising: The center scroll reads: "Neitring's City Coal Dock - Phones 328 or 329 - Coal - Gravel - Cement".
• Built-in Thermometer: Houses a central glass Fahrenheit thermometer tube with crisp, readable temperature markings.

Condition Report:

• Overall: Excellent vintage condition given its age of over 80 years.
• Graphics & Frame: The colors remain vibrant with beautifully aged patina. The frame is intact and securely holds the backing.
• Paper Calendar: The January 1944 pad is intact with natural edge wear and minor age-related toning, giving it an incredible authentic character. Please see photos for close-up details. Appears the cover page may be missing (unsure if it had one) but all months Jan-Dec are present.
• Thermometer: Glass tube is intact without cracks. (Note: Selling as a historical display piece, temperature accuracy is untested).
