BBB is best known for briar pipes, but the company also sold meerschaum pipes throughout its history. Research suggests this example may be an African meerschaum pipe produced for BBB by Laxey Pipes Ltd. on the Isle of Man, a maker known to have supplied meerschaum pipes for several major British brands. No maker or country-of-origin markings are present, so that attribution cannot be confirmed.

Examples of BBB-branded meerschaums are uncommon, and we have been unable to locate another example matching this particular finish and construction. An unusual, unsmoked BBB worthy of a serious collection.
