Rhodochrosite (Polished Freeform)Sweet Home MineAlma, Park CountyColorado

A must have for any Sweet Home Mine Collection - Polished rhodochrosite from the Sweet Home mine is not common, rhodo is a fragile mineral so it can break easily when being polished/cut. In the early 90's an effort was made to get crystal rough specifically for polishing/cutting on to the market - Not much was made and most of it has been tucked away in collections for years. A faceted gemstone of Sweet Home Mine rhodo commands ~$1k per carat!PLEASE NOTE: I shot the video under very bright light so you can see the inclusions, imperfections etc, the color saturation is much lighter in the video than "real" life - Send me a message with any questions or to request more pics/video
