RARE Maruri "Rufous Hummingbird With Morning Glory" 1999 Porcelain Bird Figurine For Sale

This exquisite Maruri figurine is a must-have for any bird enthusiast or collector. Crafted from fine porcelain, this rare piece depicts a Rufous Hummingbird with a Morning Glory flower. The intricate details of this figurine are impressive, from the delicate wings of the bird to the vibrant colors of the flower. The "Rufous Hummingbird With Morning Glory" figurine was produced by Maruri USA in 1999 and is no longer in production, as the company closed many years ago.BEFORE BUYING READ CONDITION:This piece belonged in my grandma's collection, as she was an avid hummingbird collector herself. She was also painter and skillfully painted many ceramic pieces in her time. Upon further inspection of this Maruri bird, I have a hunch it was very skillfully repaired by her in the past, and I almost didn't notice it. You'll see towards the end of the pictures, I note a place on the branch that may have been severed from the rest of the piece at one point, then glued, and painted over. The color matching is very good. However, closer inspection reveals the repair paint was applied solid & opaque, whereas the rest of the original piece has a more "airbrushed" approach to color application.
