"DO NO EVIL", which fits with the full quote from Analects of Confucius. The monkey may be shown crossing its arms or covering its genitals.
I was in st.louis doing some shopping and while going down rows of stuff these caught the corner of my eye... after inspection I realized I had personally never saw the fourth monkey detailed especially on bookends..
SOMETHING TOLD ME TO JUMP!! I COULD FEEL THEY WERE SOMETHING SPECIAL!! Truly hours of research and can't find much info or photos..definitely high quality early 1900s bronze clad.. I would love to know more?? I LIKE FINDING ITEMS that puzzle me!!
