RARE 1917 Brush McCoy Flying Birds & Tulips Green Jardiniere Planter #239 CRACK
This planter was manufactured by Brush McCoy Pottery located in Roseville Ohio. It is cracked but I’m pricing it for its rarity. It was featured in the Brush McCoy catalog in 1917. It’s also featured in an online collectors society, books and magazines. It’s highly structured with a deep relief of flying birds flanked by geometric Art Nouveau stylized tulip/lotus blossoms. This green glazed planter measures just over 3.75” tall with a 4.5” diameter. The bottom is marked 239.
There is normal wear and age. I have not made any attempts to wash nor clean this planter. It also has a crack that needs proper restoration that I’m not qualified to repair. I don’t want to further damage such a rare piece and cause irreversible damage. I’m hoping someone with more knowledge and experience can properly restore such a unique find. If this doesn’t find a forever home I may try and get it restored professionally to increase its value. Please refer to the pictures as they are part of the description.
FULL DISCLOSURE!!!! I will be shipping this with extra care and proper protection. In the event it breaks during transit please return for a full refund. I do not give partial refunds and expect it to be returned in the same condition. Please do not attempt to restore this planter unless you plan on keeping this item.
Please be advised I’m not an expert in vintage and antique pottery. Although I do try my best to research I’m still learning. Anything I’ve disclosed is the best to my knowledge. If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to contact me. I encourage potential buyers to also research especially if there is any question of accuracy.
If you are interested in multiple items I do combine shipping depending on size and weight. If it’s not automatically combined at checkout I will reimburse any overages once the items are packed and weighed.
