RARE 1908 \"SAINT JAMES HOTEL\" DINNER MENU (DEFUNCT DAVENPORT, IOWA HOTEL, NICE) For Sale

This is a rare April 5, 1908 four-page dinner menu (see pictures) from the former SAINT JAMES HOTEL, once located on the Mississippi River in DAVENPORT, IOWA. The St. James Hotel opened its doors in 1877, but sadly has been closed for several decades. This small menu features both supper and late dinner items--ranging from sugar cured ham and baked potatoes to calf\'s brains and scrambled eggs! There are no prices listed. It is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear from handling and storage over the past 118 years. There appear to be no handwriting on the menu, but it has been folded horizontally. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or an inexpensive gift for that St. James Hotel enthusiast, Davenport historian, or vintage menu collector in your life! Postage is $7.00.
