cleaned to optimize the overall condition and appearance and with the utmost care as if the presser was
pressing and cleaning a book in his own personal collection.
Because you have already paid for shipping
any books that you have bought from us, you do not pay any additional shipping fee to take advantage of
this service. Purchasing this add-on service will add one day to our normal processing time due to the
time required to press and clean books thoroughly and properly.

What is comic book pressing?
A procedure to improve the overall condition and appearance of a comic book by fixing or removing
various pressable defects.
Are pressing and dry cleaning classified as restoration?
The Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) considers restoration as any other procedure that involves
the addition of some foreign material or substance to improve its overall physical/structural condition
and/or appearance such as chemicals, color touch-up, extra staples, glue, and tape. Because pressing
and dry cleaning are non-additive procedures, neither is considered to be a form of restoration.
What defects can you fix?
Defects that we can fix through pressing: Non-color breaking bends and folds/fold lines, non-color-breaking spine stress marks or ticks, dog-eared page corners, rippling and waviness from moisturedamage, handling dimples or finger bends, writing impressions, light or shallow grooves, cover dents,non-color-breaking edge dents, stacking bends/fold lines, crunched or impacted corners.
Nonpressable defects that cannot be fixed through this service: Color-breaking creases and spinestress marks, non-color-breaking creases that crease or wrinkle the paper itself, production/printercreases, foxing and other stains, tears, rusted staples.
What can you fix with dry cleaning?
Defects that we can dry clean: Common soiling, loose dirt, and pencil markings primarily in whiteareas of the front and back covers. Cleaning of soil and pencil marks may not be possible in coloredareas, primarily red and yellow areas, due to possible ink removal.
Defects that we CANNOT dry clean: Fingerprints, foxing, tanning, sun shadows, color fading, waterstains (tide lines), rust stains, oil-based stains, pen or other ink markings, food stains, mildew and mustyodor, tape and tape residue, glue, distributor ink overspray, amateur restoration and repair (for example,tape removal, removal of extra staples, glue removal, color touch).
How do will you press and clean my book?
Our pressing method uses a combination of gentle heat, humidty, and pressure that has been provento be very effective in removing pressable defects. Our dry cleaning process involves a gentle carefulprocedure to protect the structural integrity of the cover and guard against the loss of any cover ink.

How do I know if any book I have bought from you is a safe candidate for pressing and cleaning?
If you purchase this service, we will evaluate whether any book you want pressed and cleaned is asafe candidate for our service. Books that we do not recommend for pressing and/or cleaning includebooks with pieces barely hanging on that could possibly be removed during the pressing and cleaningprocess, books with brittle covers or pages, books with some sticky or foreign substance stuck on thecover, and books that were produced with embossing or metal, chrome, or acetate covers.
If in ourprofessional opinion we do not feel pressing and cleaning is appropriate or safe for any particular book,we will refund your money for this service and ship your book using our normal procedure.
