Pre WWII Vintage German Berchtesgaden 1935 Wooden Lock Box & Key 1930s Edelweiss For Sale

Original vintage pre-WWII German 1935 Berchtesgaden carved wooden lock box with key. This is the sort of thing a tourist might buy. Berchtesgaden at this time was a popular tourist area. While many of the locals did not appreciate the new crowds of people, it did not stop them taking advantage of the increased tourism to sell little mementos. This is a nice medium sized wooden lock box with the original key (most of the time the key has been long lost ago on these type of boxes). The lock plate is a little loose and floppy, but it looks like it was probably always like that as the little mounting tacks don't look like they were ever installed. Minor splits in the wood, but it doesn't effect function. See photos for size and condition.
