REGIMENTAL LINEAGE & HERALDIC DESIGN:• Formed in Nova Scotia with proud cavalry lineage dating back to the King's County Hussars, the regiment served as cavalry and reconnaissance troops.• Central voided numeric designation "14" beneath the Imperial Tudor / King's Crown.• Framed by native Canadian maple leaves and dual flowing regimental banners reading: - Inner scroll: "VOTA VITA MEA" (Regimental Motto: "My Life is Dedicated") - Outer lower scroll: "14th KING'S CANADIAN HUSSARS"
MAKER HALLMARK & MOUNTING:• Both reverse sides are stamped with the prestigious Canadian maker hallmark: "W. SCULLY MONTREAL" along the lower scrollwork.• Both badges retain intact, original heavy brazed copper wire looped lugs for cotter/split pin collar attachment (one badge retains both dual lugs; one badge has one lug intact with minor period solder at the opposite post).
