This antique stereoview card, published by the renowned Keystone View Company, captures a striking 3D image of the Parliament Buildings in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The foreground features an early 20th-century automobile and the prominent Statue of Sir John Macdonald, offering a vivid glimpse into the past. The intricate architecture of the Parliament Buildings is beautifully rendered, providing a sense of depth and realism characteristic of stereograph cards from this era.The reverse side of the stereoview provides detailed descriptive text, transcribing as: \"C166—(27043) PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS AND STATUE OF SIR JOHN MACDONALD, TORONTO, ONT. Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia were the original provinces that united on July 1, 1867, to form the Dominion of Canada. The man who more than any other had to do with the bringing about of that union was Sir John Macdonald, whose statue stands in the finest position in Toronto in front of the provincial parliament buildings. He was probably the greatest statesman that Canada has yet produced. He was the first premier of the Dominion of Canada and kept united the different parts of Canada. Ontario is the most populous and the most wealthy province in Canada and its government is the next most important after that of the Dominion itself. The government of Ontario consists of a legislative assembly, the members of which are elected by the people, and a lieutenant-governor appointed by the Dominion government. The cabinet manages the affairs of the province much as the cabinet of the Dominion manages Dominion affairs. All the members of the cabinet have departments over which they preside. They are the provincial treasurer, who controls the expenditure; the provincial secretary, who issues all licenses, registers births, marriages, and deaths, and other similar functions; the minister of education; the minister of mines; the minister of public works, who has charge of all buildings and roads; the minister of agriculture; the minister of lands and forests; the minister of labour and health; and the attorney-general. Lat. 43° N.; Long. 79° W.
