The book has a hand written note and signature on 4th page " Mrs Lathrop Compliments of F. J. Porter" Besides my own research (which it shows some similarity's to his signature) I do not have any authentication that it is General Porter's own handwriting or signature.
I'm unaware of the publication date, there is none stated in the book. I can't find a duplicate of this book to reference.
There are multiple large fold out maps through out the book of battle fields etc. Some of the maps are detached please see photos.
