This is a deep green early Wishart\'s Pine Tree Tar Cordial medicine bottle from the 1860s with applied lip and bold embossing on 3 panels, including a big pine tree.... ... L. Q. C. WISHART\'S / PINE TREE TAR CORDIAL PHILA / PATENT 1859with bold emb big pine tree .....bold emb on 3 sides... Hand blown in mold, bimal....early smooth base.....crude applied tapered lip.....square with long neck.....pretty deep green....9 1/2\" tall (large size)...It has had a couple chips professionally repaired: one on the neck just under the lip (where a natural sliver flake was partially covered by the lip when it was applied); Another chip on one bottom corner has also been expertly epoxy repaired; an air bubble was hit on the blank side near shoulder which caused a surface spider bruise; it is smooth with no opening though. Some light inside haze.A great looking bottle with bold embossing and great color!...The two repairs are expertly done and cannot be seen on display.
